This year, the theme of 'Malaysia Berdaulat : Tanah Tumpahnye Darahku' was agreed by the Cabinet chosen as the theme for the 56th Independence Day. Themes that are more oriented towards the unity and patriotism and unity of the nation selected to give a warning to the people of the importance of maintaining a united country besides creating awareness of affection and love for the country.
